Privacy Policy
AI Image Analyzer lets you add a picture in the Chrome side panel and either ask a question about it or get a text prompt that describes it. This policy explains what data the extension handles to do that, and what it does not do.
What we handle
- Pictures you add. When you press Generate prompt or ask a question, the picture you uploaded or pasted is converted to JPEG (large pictures are scaled down) and sent to our server.
- Questions you type. If you ask a question, its text is sent together with the picture.
- Your IP address. Every internet request carries one. Our server uses it only to limit how many requests one address can send per minute, so nobody can abuse the service.
The extension does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, your clicks or keystrokes. It only sees a picture when you add it to the panel yourself.
How it is used
Our server, hosted on Cloudflare Workers in the United States, passes the picture and your question to the Claude API by Anthropic, which writes the prompt or the answer. The reply is streamed back to the side panel. That is the only use of your data: providing the feature you asked for.
- We do not save pictures, questions or answers. The server forwards them and keeps nothing once the reply is sent.
- Our hosting provider keeps short technical logs, such as the time of a request and error messages, for a few days so we can fix problems. Pictures and questions are not written to these logs.
- We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling or credit decisions, and we do not sell it.
Third parties
- Anthropic processes the picture and question to generate the reply, under its commercial terms and privacy policy. Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models by default.
- Cloudflare hosts our server and processes requests, including your IP address, under its privacy policy.
- Google. The welcome page that opens after installation loads fonts from Google Fonts. The optional feedback form and the form shown after uninstalling are Google Forms; anything you choose to write there is handled under Google's privacy policy.
We share data with no one else.
Stored on your device
The extension remembers one setting in your browser: whether you chose the light or dark theme. It never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension.
No accounts
You do not need to sign in or give us your name or email address to use the extension.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If the way the extension handles data changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
